The title of this image is "Welcome to Oz". This was the first digital image I ever shot. Why the name is I was at the Griffith Park observatory (the building used as the Wicked Witch of the West's castle in the original Wizard of Oz movie) and when I took the picture I muttered to my myself "welcome to F**king Oz" It was at that moment I knew what the future, or at least my future was in photography. It is from this image and the moment of epiphany the "Oz" series of books got there name and the techniques described in them started with this image.
The cost of this camera was literally the down payment for a house and could double as a boat anchor for an aircraft carrier. The PCIMA 4 MB Memory card w
as 3000.00. This was captured with a 1.3 megapixel Nikon E-3 camera with a 70-210mm D series lens. This is the second image I ever took digitally. The file camera produced was an sRGB JPEG.
Final file is stored and scaled using Genuine Fractals.
