I shot this image on his camera (he shot Canon and I had second degree burns on my trigger finger for months...) the last workshop Monte and I were teaching at. I was in the back of his class trying make him laugh and he said to me "alright smarty you come up here and do it" SO I too his camera and he and I played. I adored this man. It is my greatest hope and dream to someday in my life to be as gracious and as giving a person and teacher as Monte. What makes my day is that this was his favorite portrait of him. He was one of the finest people to breathe.
